2025 Charity Card Club Wrap-Up
As the 2025 MLS Season ends, it’s time to wrap-up our Charity Card Club fundraiser.
With more than 60 pledgers, the fundraiser collected over $7000 to support CommonBond Communities. These funds will help to improve access to quality affordable housing here in the Twin Cities and support CommonBond’s Advantages Services.
Twenty-one Loons players, and one coach, did their part earning 91 yellows and 1 red card throughout the 2025 season.
Some highlights:
Most cards (tied) - Nicolas Romero & Joaquin Pereyra at 11 Yellow Cards
Most consistent — Nicolas Romero has at least 1 card every month March to November
Joseph Rosales was the only player to earn a red card (that amazing home playoff win against Seattle)
Coach Eric Ramsay got a yellow card at half-time in playoff game vs. San Diego
Minnesota’s own Devin Padelford got a yellow card in the friendly against KSV Holstein - yes, you can get cards in a “friendly”
91 Yellow Cards - a bit over average for the year
1 Red Card - lower than average, especially compared to the 8 red cards in 2024!
Over 60 fans participated in the fundraiser, more than 20% new pledgers in 2025.
DGS United wants to thank all the people who donated to this fundraiser. We can all feel good knowing the funds are already helping our community. We also want to thank the Dark Clouds Supporters Group for starting this fundraiser back in 2017 and helping it grow each year. Time to think about next season and remember “The funds are in your pocket”
