Thank You, Dark Clouds
Dark Clouds supporters gathered in December 2025 to celebrate the season and raise funds for local grassroots soccer through the annual Dark Clouds Auction. The DGS Foundation served as the 501(c)(3) nonprofit partner, with proceeds supporting player development and access to the game across the Twin Cities.
A featured beneficiary of the 2025 auction was Minneapolis City SC, which received $1,590 to support its player development work. Minneapolis City SC is known for creating accessible pathways for local players, emphasizing high‑level training, community connection, and opportunities to progress from youth and amateur levels into pre‑professional soccer. This support helps strengthen equitable, locally rooted development within Minnesota’s soccer ecosystem.
The auction also continued its investment in high school soccer. Como Park High School boys and girls soccer programs received $1,000, marking the third year of a five‑year commitment from the Dark Clouds and The DGS Foundation. In addition, $1,000 was donated to the St. Paul Central High School boys and girls soccer programs, helping sustain inclusive, competitive opportunities for student‑athletes.
“Building community and doing good together through soccer is why we exist,” said Katrina Heinze, DGS Board President. “Supporting grassroots programs ensures the game remains accessible and impactful at every level.”
