DGS United

We believe in the power of the beautiful game to bring fans together in community to Do Good Stuff for our community.

Together, we:
- foster a soccer community in Minnesota that creates positive change together,
- organize volunteer events and raise funds for housing services and other community initiatives,
- collect basic necessities for our neighbors at fan events, and
- empower the charitable and volunteer efforts of MNUFC, its fans, and Supporter Groups.

We are building a stronger, more inclusive Twin Cities community through soccer, service and neighborly support.

DGS United is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, all-volunteer organization.

C.C.

Born and raised in Minneapolis, C.C. is a die-hard Minnesotan. She’s spent her career working with purpose-driven organizations that promote stronger, healthier communities.

Favorite way to Do Good Stuff: Supporting Minneapolis Public Schools in different ways

Favorite soccer memory: There are too many to count! Maybe the Loons first official MLS game in 2017 in all the snow.

Why I volunteer with DGS: Soccer brings people from across the world together in a shared experience, and volunteering can do that too.

JOSH

A native Midwesterner, Josh has been in the Twin Cities for 30+ years with soccer a constant -- playing on rec teams with his wife, managing his daughter's club team, and attending as many matches as he can - whether it's MLS, USLW, USL2, UPSL or NPSL. When he's not at a game or working at his day job as a trademark attorney, Josh volunteers for a number of local organizations, particularly those with an emphasis on food insecurity.

  • Favorite MN way to Do Good Stuff – Volunteering with family at Second Harvest Heartland. "At the end of a two-hour shift we can literally see the number of meals we helped make available for our neighbors. And loading pallets is a great workout!"

  • Soccer memory: My first Loons game in Blaine with my daughter in 2015.

  • Why I volunteer with DGS –  I volunteer with DGS because it's a great way to combine two things I'm passionate about, community service and our Loons!

KATRINA

Katrina is a California transplant who loves everything about Minnesota. Introduced to soccer as a youth soccer parent, Katrina and her husband, Hal, are ‘ridiculous’ soccer fans including being MNUFC regulars with friends. Katrina brings two decades of prior board experience to the DGS board.

  • Favorite MN way to Do Good Stuff: Reading Partners with the Northside Achievement Zone

  • Soccer Memory: The feeling of community while attending a Bundesliga 2 FC Nürnberg game. The bonfires, the flares and a fan-filled train ride to and from town to the stadium.

  • Why I volunteer with DGS: “MNUFC fans care about their community. I want DGS to be a trusted partner of fans and the team so we can do tons of good together in our community.”
