Join fellow fans on Saturday, April 11 for a volunteer event at Arc Value Village’s thrift store in New Hope. We’re volunteering from 10am to noon.
Typical volunteer tasks include:
Unpacking clothing and related donations
Sorting clothing and other donations
Stocking clothing and household items on the sales floor
Organizing, sizing and colorizing clothing on the sales floor
Assisting with donation retrieval
Arc’s Value Village thrift stores generate funding for The Arc Minnesota's mission. The Arc Minnesota works to promote and protect the human rights of people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. We help people navigate systems while working to advance social change centered in justice, equity and belonging in community.
Volunteers should have the following skills for a successful volunteer experience:
Active listening
Can follow directions
Can stay on task
Can complete tasks with minimal supervision and support
Can complete tasks while standing as we do not have sitting volunteer opportunities
Youth 8+ are welcome when accompanied by an adult
Volunteering with friends is always more fun — Let us know you are coming as a group by picking the number of your group below. We’ll ask for your guests name as you complete your sign-up.
Arc’s stores are welcoming places for people of all gender identities, gender expressions, races, religions, sexualities, and other identities. As a volunteer, you must treat all staff, guests, and volunteers respectfully.
